In this FIGS, students will explore the diverse field of economics and learn the role it plays in areas like politics, psychology, public policy, health, and finance. Basic economic concepts such as resource allocation, consumer behavior, price determination, unemployment, individual decision making, and global trends will be explored. Students will get a taste of the powerful analytical tools and skills developed in the major as well as the flexible academic and career choices it opens up. We will also discuss the wide array of opportunities available for economics majors, such as research, internships, the Quantitative Economics certificate program, extracurricular activities and more!
